About CLAC

Cockburn Little Athletics Centre (CLAC) has been a member of the City of Cockburn sporting community for nearly 50 years. Three clubs make up Cockburn Little Athletics Centre and we have a proud tradition of Family Fun & Fitness.

Little Athletics Australia promotes family, fun and fitness. Both children and volunteers are encouraged to achieve their personal best. Little Athletics understands the importance of developing physical fitness at an early age for children of all abilities. Children with any level of skill or fitness are encouraged to join, and to have fun while enjoying their sport within a friendly and interactive environment.

Athletics is a wonderful sport in its own right. However it is also a fabulous foundation for all other sports that may require running, jumping, throwing, speed or endurance. Summer athletics is also a great way of keeping fit in the off-season for winter sports.

Little Athletics is a voluntary organisation. Our Centre cannot operate without the assistance of our parents. Getting involved with Little Athletics could include running a stopwatch, raking a long jump pit, officiating an event, managing an age group, recording results, or working in the canteen.

To compete at Cockburn LAC you will need to join one of our three clubs – Jandakot Flyers, Phoenix Park or Yangebup Lakes. You can simply register on-line, choosing a club in the process. However we suggest you have a chat to the clubs before registering to gain a better understanding of the time commitments for the athletes and the expectations we have of our parents.
